Angie Stupak, BS
Hello!
My name is Angie, and I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely heard, respected, and empowered. My work is grounded in creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients can explore challenges, clarify goals, and reconnect with their strengths.
My developing clinical orientation is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy and Reality Therapy, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic alliance, personal responsibility, and client choice. I value an integrative, evidence-based approach and tailor counseling to meet each individual where they are, recognizing that no two people, stories, or paths forward are the same.
Before entering the counseling profession, I spent over 20 years in the Air Force in high-
responsibility leadership and instructional roles, as well as time in law enforcement. These backgrounds shaped my ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and support individuals navigating crisis, transition, trauma, and high-stress environments. They also deepened my respect for boundaries, ethics, and the importance of compassionate, nonjudgmental care.
I have a particular interest in working with people navigating life transitions, addictions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, and relational challenges. I am especially passionate about supporting veterans navigating major life changes and about providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive.
I am often described as grounded, direct, and approachable. I bring sincerity and empathy to the counseling space while also valuing honesty, practical insight, and gentle challenge when appropriate. I see counseling as a collaborative process, one where clients are active participants in their own progress, healing, and decision-making.
Whether you are seeking support through a difficult season or looking to better understand yourself and your patterns, I strive to offer a space that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.
